1. Real-Time Flood Forecast System
The river flood forecast system is a useful tool for supporting flood prevention decision making. It can apply the various rainfall forecast products to simulate real-time water stages using a high-performance numerical model that can handle trans-critical flow conditions. The system uses a Responsive Web Design (RWD) technique to display results on webpages, which allows the river forecast results to be viewable on all browsers.
2. GPU-based Numerical Models for Real-Time Flood Inundation
(1) Use the highly parallel computational ability of the Graphic Processing Units (GPU) to enhance the model’s simulation efficiency.
(2) Enabled to do real-time flood inundation simulations via a quantitative precipitation forecast.
(3) Allows off-line hypothesis flood inundation and/or dam break simulations, and displays the possible flooding results via web pages with user-defined conditions.
